Disney - all it's cracked up to be?

I'm not a huge fan of Disney. I've been to the park in Anaheim when I was younger, and had a good time overall, but in general I think Disney represents much of what is wrong with America. Disney fits right in with McDonald's, Walmart, and the corporate culture of waste, excess, and greed that defines our culture. It does cater to children, and bring them delight and imagination - but it is fake, artificial, and gives children and adults experience with an empty sort of joy that is based not on reality but on escapism. The facade of Disney's entertainment is no more real than the false front buildings that defined our country's expansion westward and created the continent-wide culture of greed that we now live in. Do I sound jaded? Sure, but I'm not the only one. Links to others who really don't like Disney are below:
